ReliXIV
ReliXIV is Overkill's thirteenth studio album, released on 22 March 2005 through Regain Records. It blends groove metal and thrash metal. The title carries a Roman numeral 14 because the band count their debut EP among their studio records, which would make this the fourteenth in their own tally. The covers album Coverkill offers another possible reading of the number. Blitz, for his part, simply called it "Relics" when introducing songs from it on stage.
It sits between Killbox 13 and Immortalis in the band's long run of records. The song to seek out is "Old School", which has featured in every Overkill show since the album came out, a fair sign of how much it means to the band and their audience.
