Album
Paradise Lost
Paradise Lost's self-titled tenth studio album is a gothic metal record from the British band, and it arrived in March 2005 on BMG. It was recorded across the first half of 2004 at Chapel Studios in Lincolnshire and Hollypark Lane in Los Angeles, then mixed and mastered at Green Jacket Studios. It follows Symbol of Life from 2002 and comes before In Requiem.
It is also the first album with drummer Jeff Singer, who joined once the writing was mostly done, so his creative input here was smaller than on the follow-up. Some material from these sessions found other homes: "Sedative God" was held back for In Requiem, while "Through the Silence" and "Sanctimonious You" turned up on the "Forever After" single and the B-Sides & Rarities collection. That single also came with a music video, which is a good place to start.
