Ascension is the seventeenth studio album from Paradise Lost, the British gothic metal band, and it came out on 19 September 2025. It is their first album of entirely new material since Obsidian in 2020, the longest wait between studio records in their career. Between the two came Icon 30 in 2023, which was not a set of new songs.

The record also marks the end of a line-up chapter, as it is the last to feature drummer Guido Montanarini, who played on Icon 30 and left the band in May 2025. For listeners who have followed the group from the early gothic and doom days, it is a chance to hear where they have landed after a longer pause than ever before.
