Album
Draconian Times
Draconian Times is the fifth studio album by British gothic metal band Paradise Lost, released on 12 June 1995 through Music for Nations and Relativity Records. It followed Icon and Shades of God, and the three records were later gathered together in a boxed set called Original Album Classics.
Two songs, "The Last Time" and "Forever Failure", came out as singles with music videos, and both made the charts. A further track written during the sessions, "Another Desire", was left off the album and turned up on the "Forever Failure" single instead. The band later gave the record a full live airing on Draconian Times MMXI, which plays it from start to finish, a good sign of how much it means to them and their audience. If you want the point where their doom-laden gothic sound meets proper singles, this is the place to start.
