Fistful of Metal
Fistful of Metal is the debut studio album by the American band Anthrax, released on 6 January 1984. It came out through Megaforce Records in the United States and Music for Nations internationally, and it sits firmly in the territory where heavy metal, speed metal and thrash meet.
It is a record of firsts and one-offs for the band. It is the only Anthrax album to feature vocalist Neil Turbin and original bassist Dan Lilker. Matt Fallon and later Joey Belladonna would take over vocals, while Frank Bello replaced Lilker on bass. For anyone tracing how the group became the act that made Among the Living, this is where the story starts, in a line-up that did not last.
