Armed and Dangerous
Armed and Dangerous is an EP from the American band Anthrax, released on Megaforce Records in 1985. Carl Canedy and Jon Zazula produced it, with Zazula also serving as executive producer. It marks the first appearance of Joey Belladonna on vocals and Frank Bello on bass, so it captures the band at a turning point between their debut album, Fistful of Metal, and Spreading the Disease.
The EP offers a few curiosities. "Raise Hell" was written for it and appears nowhere else, and the band take on the Sex Pistols' "God Save the Queen". "Metal Thrashing Mad" and "Panic" are labelled as live but are in fact studio re-recordings of tracks from the debut. The title song returns on Spreading the Disease in a different mix, without the fade-in intro.
