Shade

Shade is the sixth studio album by the American rock band Living Colour, released on 8 September 2017 through Megaforce Records. It arrived eight years after The Chair in the Doorway, their previous studio record from 2009, making it the longest wait between albums in the list of their studio work that runs from Vivid in 1988 through Time's Up, Stain and Collideøscope.

For anyone who came to the band through their late-1980s and early-1990s records, it is the one that shows where they ended up after that long gap. It sits in the heavy metal bracket, and it rounds off a run of six studio albums spanning nearly three decades, which makes it a natural place to catch up with the band.
