White Trash Blues
White Trash Blues is the Quireboys' eleventh studio album, released on 5 September 2017 through Off Yer Rocka Recordings. It is a covers record, and the songs come from the blues tradition, with material by the likes of Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Chuck Berry.
It arrived between Twisted Love in 2016 and Amazing Disgrace in 2019, a pause from writing new songs in a busy stretch for the band. For anyone who knows the Quireboys as a swaggering, piano-tinged rock 'n' roll outfit, it is a chance to hear them dig into the music that sits behind their sound, played by a band that clearly knows its way around these songs.
