A Bit of What You Fancy (30th Anniversary Edition)
A Bit of What You Fancy is the debut studio album by English rock band the Quireboys, released on 29 January 1990. George Tutko and Jim Cregan produced it, and it came out through EMI. Session drummer Ian Wallace, a former King Crimson member, contributes to the record, which mixes blues rock with hard rock.
It remains the band's most commercially successful album. It reached no. 2 on the UK Albums Chart and went Gold for sales of more than 100,000 copies. Four singles charted ahead of it, with "Hey You" the biggest of them. The band later rerecorded the whole album to mark its 30th anniversary, and that version appeared in 2021. For anyone tracing the Quireboys' long run of albums, this is the place to start.
