St Cecilia and the Gypsy Soul
St Cecilia and the Gypsy Soul is the ninth studio album by the English rock band the Quireboys, released on 30 March 2015 through Off Yer Rocka Recordings. It arrived just a year after Black Eyed Sons and a year before Twisted Love, part of a busy stretch in the band's catalogue.
The record leans on acoustic instrumentation and a stripped-down production, a quieter setting for a group better known for its rowdy rock 'n' roll. Reviews were generally positive. It came out as part of a four-disc set that also included a reissue of Halfpenny Dancer from 2009 and two live performance discs, so it makes a handy way into the band's more reflective side.
