Album
Meliora
Meliora is the third studio album by Swedish band Ghost, released on 21 August 2015 through Loma Vista Recordings. It followed Opus Eponymous and Infestissumam, and came before Prequelle. Klas Åhlund produced it, and its blend of heavy metal, hard rock and progressive rock shows a band widening its range without losing its footing. The title is Latin for "better things".
It was well received, turning up on several publications' lists of the best heavy metal albums of the year, and it won Best Hard Rock/Metal Album at the 2015 Grammis Awards. The lead single, "Cirice", went on to take the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. In September 2016 the band followed the album with a special edition, Meliora Redux, which makes a handy second look if the original gets its hooks into you.
