Sol Invictus
Sol Invictus is the seventh studio album by Faith No More, a band from the United States. It arrived in May 2015, and it was their first studio record since Album of the Year in 1997. That 18-year wait is the longest gap between albums in their career. It was also their first release on Reclamation! Recordings, and the title is Latin for "Unconquered Sun".
It matters in the band's story for a quiet reason: this is the first time since Angel Dust in 1992 that the line-up matched the one on the album before it. Matt Wallace, a long-time producer for the band, worked with them for the fifth time, though here he helped with the final mix rather than taking a bigger production role. For anyone who lost touch after the 1990s, it's a chance to hear the band after a long absence.
