Silence in the Snow

Silence in the Snow is Trivium's seventh studio album, released on 2 October 2015 through Roadrunner Records. It follows Vengeance Falls and sits between that record and The Sin and the Sentence in the band's catalogue. Michael "Elvis" Baskette produced it, having first worked with the group on In Waves in 2011. It is the only Trivium album to feature drummer Mat Madiro, who joined in May 2014 and left in December 2015.

What sets it apart is the singing: it is the one Trivium album with no harsh vocals at all, so the heavy metal side of the band takes centre stage. "Until the World Goes Cold" became their first single to reach the Top 10 of the Active Rock chart, climbing to No. 10 in February 2016. "Blind Leading the Blind" and "Dead and Gone" also came out as singles with videos.
