Album
Burning Bridges
Burning Bridges is Bon Jovi's thirteenth studio album, released on 21 August 2015 through Mercury Records. It mixes new songs with material that had been left unreleased or unfinished, and Jon Bon Jovi described it as a "fan record" to go with the international tour that followed. "We Don't Run" was the single he pointed to among the newer tracks.
It matters in the band's story for a few reasons. This was the first record after Richie Sambora left in 2013, with producer John Shanks playing the lead guitar parts, though Sambora still gets a co-writing credit on "Saturday Night Gave Me Sunday Morning". It was also the last album on Mercury, closing a 32-year relationship with the label. Worth hearing as a snapshot of a band in transition, just before the all-new This House Is Not for Sale arrived in 2016.
