This House Is Not for Sale is Bon Jovi's fourteenth studio album, released on 4 November 2016 on Island Records. It follows Burning Bridges from 2015 and sits in the band's story as the first record made without founding guitarist Richie Sambora, who left in 2013. Phil X takes over on lead guitar, and bassist Hugh McDonald is credited as an official member for the first time, having played with the band on tour and in the studio since 1994.
The record is straightforward hard rock, and critics were mixed, generally finding it well made but rather formulaic. Listeners did turn up, though: it went straight to number one on the Billboard 200 and reached number five in the UK. A 2018 reissue added "When We Were Us" and "Walls" as bonus tracks. It is worth hearing as a snapshot of a long-running band settling into a new line-up.
