Weezer's twentieth studio album, also known as the Gold Album, came out on 21 August 2026 on Reprise Records. It was produced by Klas Åhlund and Kenneth Blume and trailed by the singles "Shine Again", "We Might as Well Be Strangers", "C.E.O." and "Say Yes". It is the band's first full-length record since Van Weezer in 2021, and their first studio release since the four SZNZ mini-albums of 2022.

What sets it apart is how it was made. Working together on a forthcoming feature film pushed Rivers Cuomo, Patrick Wilson, Brian Bell and Scott Shriner back into writing and recording as creative equals. Wilson put it simply: "We finally got our mission statement. Let's just work together." Critics responded warmly, and the grunge and power pop leanings make it an easy one for long-time fans to settle into.
