Album
Van Weezer
Van Weezer is Weezer's fifteenth studio album, released on 7 May 2021 through Crush Music and Atlantic. It leans into classic rock and hard rock, a heavier, guitar-driven turn that suits a band with a long habit of switching styles. Four singles led the way: "The End of the Game", "Hero", "Beginning of the End" and "I Need Some of That".
The record was announced in September 2019 for a May 2020 release, tied to the Hella Mega Tour with Green Day and Fall Out Boy. The pandemic pushed both the tour and the album back, so it arrived almost four months after the orchestral-leaning OK Human. Critics were generally positive, and it entered the US Billboard 200 at number 11, its peak position.
