With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness
With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness is the second studio album by the Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates. It came out on 7 May 1993 through Deaf Records, following their debut The Red in the Sky Is Ours from the year before.
It matters in the band's story as the last record to feature guitarist Alf Svensson, who left after its release. It sits between that debut and Terminal Spirit Disease, and then Slaughter of the Soul, the album that followed in 1995. The record was reissued in 2003 with bonus tracks, and it was also paired with The Red in the Sky Is Ours in a 1993 re-release, which makes it an easy way into the band's early death metal days before their later sound took shape.
