Purgatory Unleashed: Live at Wacken
Purgatory Unleashed: Live at Wacken is At the Gates' first live album, released on 22 March 2010 through Earache Records. The Swedish band are one of the defining names in melodic death metal, and this record captures them on stage at the Wacken festival.
It arrived between the group's early run of studio albums, which ended with Slaughter of the Soul in 1995, and their return with At War With Reality in 2014. For anyone who knows those records from the 1990s, it is a chance to hear the band's death metal in a live setting.
