Terminal Spirit Disease
Terminal Spirit Disease is the third studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates, released on 18 July 1994. Peaceville Records put it out in Europe, while Futurist handled the US release the same year. It is the first record to feature rhythm guitarist Martin Larsson, who took over from Alf Svensson in 1993.
The band had wanted to record an EP of fresh material, but their label pushed for a full album. They settled the matter by adding three live tracks to bring up the running time. It sits between With Fear I Kiss the Burning Darkness and Slaughter of the Soul in their catalogue, which makes it a useful stop for hearing the group in transition. A 2003 reissue, dated 12 August, added further live recordings from 27 July 1993.
