“Them”

"Them" is the third studio album by Danish heavy metal band King Diamond, released on 18 July 1988. It follows Fatal Portrait (1986) and Abigail (1987), and it introduces guitarist Pete Blakk and bassist Hal Patino to the line-up. In Europe it came out through Roadrunner Records, with Roadracer Records handling the American release later that year.

It is also the first of two fictional concept albums built around King and his mentally ill grandmother, with Conspiracy picking up the story the following year. The tale follows King's slide into madness, driven by his grandmother and by the voices inside the House of Amon, heard by the listener only as "Them". If you like your heavy metal delivered as a full, unsettling story, this is where that two-album saga begins.
