Album
House of God
House of God is the ninth studio album by the Danish heavy metal band King Diamond, released on 20 June 2000 through Metal Blade Records. It follows Voodoo from 1998 and comes before Abigail II: The Revenge in 2002, so it closes out the band's run at the turn of the millennium. The music sits firmly in traditional heavy metal territory.
The line-up makes this one a bit of a one-off. It is the only record to feature guitarist Glen Drover and bassist Paul David Harbour, and the last with drummer John Luke Hébert. Andy LaRocque remastered it for a 2009 reissue, which is a good way in if you want to hear it again with fresh ears. Worth a listen for fans curious about this particular band configuration.
