Power to the People
Power to the People is a live album from the American rock band Poison, released on 13 June 2000 on their own independent label, Cyanide Music. It arrived at a turning point for the group, because it marked the return of the original line-up. C.C. DeVille was back on guitar in place of Blues Saraceno, and it was the first time the classic four had recorded together since Swallow This Live in 1991.
For anyone who grew up with the band's glam metal sound, that reunion is the main draw. Poison's studio catalogue had run from Look What the Cat Dragged In in 1986 through to Native Tongue in 1993, and this record came out in the same year as Crack a Smile... and More!, so it sits at the start of the band's comeback. It is a chance to hear the original group playing together again on stage.
