One Night Only

One Night Only is a live album by Thin Lizzy, released on 20 June 2000 through Steamhammer. It captures the band in their reformed state, a project that began in 1994 with a run of gigs marking ten years since the group split in 1984. John Sykes, the latter-day Lizzy guitarist, takes the lead vocal here, and Marco Mendoza joins on bass.

It is a record of a changed band. Original drummer Brian Downey had retired, finding the whole affair too disorganised, so none of the original trio remained, and keyboardist Darren Wharton left around the time of release. Tommy Aldridge, who had drummed with Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake and Black Oak Arkansas, plays on the album. Sykes and Scott Gorham led the band as it carried on with various line-ups, and this set finds them in blues rock and hard rock mode.
