EP
The Acoustic Sessions
The Acoustic Sessions is an EP by Thin Lizzy, released on 5 April 2024 on Decca Records. It arrived long after the band's run of studio albums had finished, a run that began with their self-titled debut in 1971 and ended with Thunder and Lightning in 1983.
It places a band best known for twin guitars and hard-edged rock in an acoustic setting, which makes it a curiosity for anyone who has lived with records like Jailbreak, Black Rose: A Rock Legend or Chinatown. As a short release, it is best treated as a side door into the catalogue rather than a new chapter in it.
