One Assassination Under God, Chapter 1
One Assassination Under God, Chapter 1 is the twelfth studio album by Marilyn Manson, released on 22 November 2024 through Nuclear Blast Records. It follows 2020's We Are Chaos and was produced by Manson with Tyler Bates, mostly at Bates's Los Angeles studio, The Abattoir, across a year of sessions from April 2023. Gil Sharone, who also played on The Pale Emperor and Heaven Upside Down, handles the drums.
It arrived after a turbulent few years in which the band lost its label, agency and manager following abuse allegations that Manson denies; a four-year criminal investigation ended with no charges. Three singles, "As Sick as the Secrets Within", "Raise the Red Flag" and "Sacrilegious", reached career-high chart positions, and the album drew positive reviews for its songwriting, vocals and production. It also climbed into the top twenty in several major European markets, and the band toured it widely through 2024 and 2025.
