…Like Cologne
…Like Cologne is a live EP from Queens of the Stone Age, released on 22 November 2013 through Matador and made available exclusively on Spotify. It captures three acoustic performances recorded on 4 September 2013 at the Kulturkirche in Cologne, Germany.
Two of the songs, "The Vampyre of Time and Memory" and "I Sat by the Ocean", come from …Like Clockwork, the album the band had put out that year. The third, "Long Slow Goodbye", reaches back to 2005's Lullabies to Paralyze. Hearing them stripped down in a church setting offers a quieter, more intimate take on a band better known for heavy guitars, and it makes a neat companion piece to the record they were touring at the time.
