Over the Years and Through the Woods
Over the Years and Through the Woods is a live release from Queens of the Stone Age, issued on 22 November 2005 on Rekords Rekords. It pairs an audio CD with a video DVD, both drawn from two London nights in August 2005: Monday 22nd at Brixton Academy and Tuesday 23rd at KOKO.
It arrived in the same year as Lullabies to Paralyze, the band's fourth studio album, so it catches them on the road in the middle of that cycle. The record sits between that album and Era Vulgaris. For anyone who knows the band's hard rock and alternative metal sound from the studio records, the pairing of CD and DVD offers a chance to see how it plays out in front of two very different London crowds, in a large theatre and a smaller club.
