Album
…Like Clockwork
…Like Clockwork is the sixth studio album by Queens of the Stone Age, released on 3 June 2013 on Matador. It followed Era Vulgaris and opened the band's first trilogy with the label, which later continued with Villains and ended with In Times New Roman… The band produced it themselves, and it was the first Queens record to feature full contributions from bassist Michael Shuman and keyboardist and guitarist Dean Fertita, who had joined in 2007.
The sessions began in August 2012 after several false starts, with Trent Reznor initially hoped for as producer. The recording period was stormy, and long-time drummer Joey Castillo left along the way. Josh Homme has described the album as documenting the journey of moving forward, a choice to run into a tough time rather than away from it. It won critical acclaim, gave the band their first US number one and reached number two in the UK. It also earned three Grammy nominations, including Best Rock Album.
