Magnetic
Magnetic is the tenth studio album by Goo Goo Dolls, the American rock band who by this point had been making records for more than a quarter of a century. It came out in June 2013 on Warner Bros. Records and was issued on CD, vinyl and as a digital download. It follows Something for the Rest of Us from 2010 and sits in the pop rock vein the band is known for.
The album was recorded across the second half of 2012 and into early 2013. Its title came about almost by accident: John Rzeznik's manager asked him to come up with a one-word name for the record, and Magnetic was the first thing that came to mind. It is also the last Goo Goo Dolls album to feature drummer Mike Malinin, who left in December 2013, which gives it a small place in the band's history for long-time followers.
