The Paradigm Shift
The Paradigm Shift is the eleventh studio album by Korn, the American nu metal band, released in October 2013. Don Gilmore produced it, and it came out through Prospect Park, arriving in the United States a few days after its European debut.
The record matters mostly for who is on it. It marks the return of original guitarist Brian "Head" Welch, who last appeared on a Korn album with 2003's Take a Look in the Mirror. It follows The Path of Totality from 2011 and comes before The Serenity of Suffering in 2016, so it sits at a point where the band's classic line-up of guitars was back together. If you want to hear how Korn sounded with Welch alongside them again, this is the place to start.
