High Rise

High Rise is a hard rock EP from Stone Temple Pilots, released on 8 October 2013 through the band's own label, Play Pen. It arrived after Scott Weiland was fired in February 2013, which makes it the first STP release without him at the microphone.

Instead, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park takes the lead vocals, and this is the only record on which he fronts the band. Two singles, "Out of Time" and "Black Heart", were put out to promote it. Critics were generally mixed on the results, but as a brief chapter between the 2010 self-titled album and the band's later records, it's a curious listen for anyone following the group's story.
