The Dream Calls for Blood
The Dream Calls for Blood is the seventh studio album by American thrash metal band Death Angel, released on 11 October 2013 through Nuclear Blast. It followed Relentless Retribution from 2010 and arrived ahead of The Evil Divide in 2016, placing it in the middle of the run of records the band made after returning with The Art of Dying in 2004.
It sold 5,400 copies in the US in its first week and reached number 72 on the Billboard 200. That was the first time Death Angel had made the American Top 100, a notable step for a band whose debut, The Ultra-Violence, dates back to 1987. For anyone who likes their thrash direct and unfussy, it is a good place to hear the band at that stage of their career.
