Humanicide
Humanicide is the ninth studio album by the American thrash metal band Death Angel, released on 31 May 2019 through Nuclear Blast. It follows The Evil Divide from 2016 and continues the band's working relationship with producer Jason Suecof, who also oversaw their previous three studio records.
It also marks a first for the group: the line-up stayed the same across more than three albums, something they hadn't managed before. The title track was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance in November 2019, the band's first nomination of that kind. A year later, they reworked "Revelation Song" in an acoustic version on the EP Under Pressure, which is a nice way to hear the material from a different angle after the full-tilt original.
