Relentless Retribution

Popularity36.9

Relentless Retribution is the sixth studio album by the American thrash metal band Death Angel, released on 3 September 2010 through Nuclear Blast. It follows Killing Season from 2008 and comes ahead of The Dream Calls for Blood in 2013, placing it in the middle of the band's second run of records after their late-80s and 1990 output.

This was a record of fresh starts. Bassist Damien Sisson and drummer Will Carroll made their first appearances with the band, taking over from original members Dennis Pepa and Andy Galeon. It also began Death Angel's partnership with producer Jason Suecof, who has worked on every album since. For something unexpected, listen to the second track, "Claws in So Deep", where Rodrigo y Gabriela contribute an acoustic passage to an otherwise full-throttle thrash attack.
