ICON
Icon is a compilation from Nirvana, released by Geffen on 31 August 2010. It is the band's second greatest hits album, and it came out as part of Universal Music Enterprises' Icon series, which gathered best-of collections from around thirty major artists across rock, pop, R&B and country.
For the Seattle grunge trio, the record sits alongside a studio catalogue of just three albums: Bleach in 1989, Nevermind in 1991 and In Utero in 1993. As a compact overview, it suits anyone who wants a quick way into that short body of work before turning to the full albums.
