Killing Season
Killing Season is the fifth album by the American thrash band Death Angel, released on 26 February 2008 through Nuclear Blast. It followed The Art of Dying from 2004, the record that brought the band back after their long break, so this was the second chapter of their reunion rather than a fresh start.
Nick Raskulinecz produced it, a man with Foo Fighters, Rush and Alice in Chains on his CV, which is an interesting name to find behind a thrash record. It is also the last Death Angel album to feature founding members Dennis Pepa and Andy Galeon, which gives it a place in the band's story for anyone tracing how the line-up changed before Relentless Retribution arrived in 2010. Worth hearing for that moment in their history alone.
