Hooked
Hooked is the fifth studio album from American rock band Great White, released in February 1991. It followed …Twice Shy, which had sold better, and it arrived without an obvious hit single. Even so, it reached No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold that April. It also marks the last time bassist Tony Montana appeared on a Great White record.
The sound leans towards blues rock and classic rock and roll rather than the glam metal edge some listeners associated with the band. Q Magazine's Jeff Clark-Meads called it relaxed, mellow and endearing, while warning that anyone expecting a straight metal act might come away disappointed. For fans who like the bluesier side of late-80s hard rock, it is a good place to hear the band settle into a looser groove.
