Elation
Elation arrived on 18 May 2012 on Frontiers Records, and it marks a real turning point for Great White. It is the first studio record to feature vocalist Terry Ilous, and the first made without Jack Russell, the band's original singer. The American hard rock group had been releasing albums since the early 1980s, so a change at the microphone was a significant moment in their story.
The record was produced, recorded and mixed by the band's own two guitarists, Michael Lardie and Mark Kendall, which keeps the sound firmly in the hands of the people shaping it. It was later remixed by George Tutko and released as downloads. For anyone curious how Great White sounded in their next chapter, this is where to start, with a new voice fronting a familiar hard rock outfit.
