On Your Knees (The First LP)
On Your Knees (The First LP) is where Great White's story begins. It came out in 1983, a glam metal debut from the American band, and it first appeared independently under the title Out of the Night. That original release sold more than 8,000 copies in under three months, helped along by the band's support slots on Dokken's 1983 US tour.
That early traction mattered. It led EMI to sign the band for their first full-length, self-titled LP, and three of these songs, "Out of the Night", "On Your Knees" and "Dead End", were re-recorded for it. Enigma later reissued the record as On Your Knees, in 1987, as Once Bitten was raising the band's profile. It's worth hearing as the raw starting point, before the albums that made their name.
