Album
Gods of Violence
Gods of Violence is Kreator's fourteenth studio album, a thrash metal record released on 27 January 2017 through Nuclear Blast. The German band had been making albums since Endless Pain in 1985, so this arrived more than three decades into a career that began in the thrash boom of the mid-eighties.
It follows Phantom Antichrist from 2012 and comes before Hate über alles in 2022. It is also the last studio album to feature bassist Christian "Speesy" Giesler, who left the band in 2019. For anyone tracing how Kreator carried their old-school thrash sound into the later part of their career, this is a natural place to stop and listen.
