Repentless
Repentless is the twelfth and final studio album from American thrash metal band Slayer, released in September 2015 on Nuclear Blast. It arrived after the longest gap between Slayer records, six years since World Painted Blood. It is also the only one made without guitarist Jeff Hanneman, who died in 2013. Gary Holt stepped in on guitar, and Hanneman still gets a songwriting credit on "Piano Wire".
Other changes make it a distinctive entry in the catalogue. Paul Bostaph returned on drums for the first time since God Hates Us All, and Terry Date produced, ending Rick Rubin's run of nine albums behind the desk. Three singles followed: "Repentless", "You Against You" and "Pride in Prejudice". The record debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, the band's best US debut, topped the German chart and drew generally positive reviews.
