Chama
Chama is the thirteenth studio album from Soulfly, the American heavy metal band led by vocalist and rhythm guitarist Max Cavalera. It arrived on 24 October 2025 through Nuclear Blast, following Totem from 2022 and continuing a run of records that stretches back to the band's self-titled debut in 1998.
Cavalera has described it as fast, heavy, spiritual and raw, a return to the band's tribal groove metal sound. It is also the shortest studio album Soulfly have made, running to just thirty-two and a half minutes, so it keeps things tight and moves quickly. For anyone who has followed the band since the early records, it is a chance to hear them aiming back at the sound they built their name on.
