Conquer

Conquer is the sixth studio album by Soulfly, the American metal band led by Max Cavalera. It came out on 23 July 2008 through Moon Records, following Dark Ages in 2005 and arriving two years before Omen. Its sound draws on thrash, groove and heavy metal, with an experimental streak running through it.

The record reached Canada and the United States a few days after its first release, on 29 July, and entered the U.S. Billboard 200 at number 66. That was the band's best showing on the chart since 3 in 2002, which makes Conquer a useful marker for anyone tracing how Soulfly's fortunes moved through the decade. It suits listeners who like their metal heavy and a little restless.
