Album
3
Soulfly's third studio album, 3 arrived in June 2002 on Roadrunner Records. It sits between Primitive, from 2000, and Prophecy, which followed in 2004, and it falls in the early run of a catalogue that has gone on to span more than a dozen studio records.
The band file it under alternative metal and heavy metal, and that fits a group that never sat comfortably in one corner of the genre. If you have followed Soulfly from their 1998 debut and want to hear where they stood at the start of the 2000s, this is a natural stop. It is also a handy record for anyone tracing the band's early years on Roadrunner, one album at a time.
