You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best!!
You Wanted the Best, You Got the Best!! is a live compilation from the American hard rock band Kiss, released on 25 June 1996 by Mercury Records. It arrived to coincide with the group's 1996–97 Alive/Worldwide Tour, the reunion outing that brought the original line-up back together.
Every song is a live version, and most come from the two albums that built the band's concert reputation, Alive! (1975) and Alive II (1977). Four recordings were previously unreleased, and the liner notes describe them as outtakes from the sessions of those two records. The closing track is an interview with the reunited band, conducted by Jay Leno. It makes a handy snapshot of Kiss on stage in the 1970s, with a bonus from the reunion years.
