Swim is an early EP from Feeder, released in 1996 on the Echo label. It arrived two years after the band took their current name and signed to the label, with Grant Nicholas, Jon Lee and Taka Hirose making up the trio. It came a year before their first album, Polythene, and it is tagged as grunge, which suits a band still finding their feet in the mid-nineties.

For anyone who knows Feeder from their later chart success, it is a chance to hear where it began. This was a Welsh band that would go on to sell over a million albums at home without ever signing to a major label in the UK, and Echo Park would bring them wider attention in 2001. Swim sits at the very start of that road.
