Live From Texas
Live From Texas captures ZZ Top on home ground, recorded on 1 November 2007 at the Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie, Texas. It first appeared on DVD and Blu-ray, released on 24 June 2008 through Eagle Rock Records, and a vinyl edition has also been available in Europe.
It arrives after Mescalero (2003) and before La futura (2012), so it catches the band in the middle of their later career. An audio CD followed later in 2008, which suits anyone who would rather hear the show than watch it. For fans of the trio's blend of hard rock, blues rock and southern rock, it is a chance to hear their sound played in front of a Texas crowd.
