Album
Antenna
Antenna is the eleventh studio album by the American rock band ZZ Top, released in 1994. It was their first record for RCA, a change of label that marked a new chapter after Recycler in 1990. The music sits between rock, pop rock and hard rock, in keeping with the band's long-running blend of blues-rooted guitar and radio-friendly hooks.
The lead single, "Pincushion", reached number 1 on the US Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, which makes it the obvious place to start. The follow-up, "Breakaway", came with a B-side, "Mary's", that did not appear on the album itself. Antenna came before Rhythmeen in 1996, so it is a useful marker for how the band sounded in the mid-1990s.
