This compilation is the third and last part of the Millennium Collection series devoted to KISS, released by Mercury Records on 10 October 2006. It is the first collection to draw solely on the band's 1990s output, so it looks at a stretch of their career that earlier best-of sets tended to pass over.

For anyone who knows the 1970s face-paint years but lost track of what came next, it makes a handy way in. The band's studio run in that decade included Revenge in 1992, Carnival of Souls: The Final Sessions in 1997 and Psycho Circus in 1998. Volumes 1 and 2 of the series were later repackaged with this disc as the set Playlist...Plus, so it can also be found as part of a bigger package.
